Last week we converted Olivia's crib into a toddler bed after I found her lying across the top rail of her crib (during nap time) with her leg stuck in between the top rail and the next rail down. She was trying to get out of the crib to get to her stuffed Peter Rabbit. Rather than risk that scary moment once again, we decided to convert her bed into a toddler bed that evening. The transition hasn't been entirely smooth as she has been getting out of bed to read books during nap and bedtime, but we will get there eventually. However, she LOVES her big girl bed and would spend a lot more time playing in it if we would let her.
