Happy Birthday James!

James is 1! Unfortunately he had a cold on his birthday but hopefully he won't remember that small detail!

Where did the year go? I cannot believe Baby James is already one-year old! What a wonderful year it has been. At 12 months old James:

--Sleeps from around 7pm-6:15/6:30am

--Naps twice a day (unless he is at school) from around 9:15am-10:45am and again from 1:45pm-2:45pm.... sometimes starting both naps an hour or so later. I have tried transitioning him to one nap at day as he will only take one nap a day in the 1's room at school. He does okay with one nap but definitely does not sleep as many cumulative hours as he does with two naps.

--Still nurses 4 times a day but I introduced whole milk this week and he seems to really like that as well.

--Is not a huge solid food eater but his favorites are yogurt, bananas, toast with butter, baked tofu (homemade or Trader Joe's version), Cheddar Rockets, Nana's applesauce, and basically any kind of squeezy pack he can squeeze himself. He had his first taste of glazed donut (the inside, not the gooey sugary outside) and he loved it. Good trial run for his first taste of birthday cake!

--His favorite toys are: the play kitchen (loves to pull the food out of the drawer and then pull out the drawers), the dollhouse, pushing around the dinosaur and the shopping cart and the car. He loves Olivia's cars (Lightening McQueen etc), pulling the tupperware out of the cupboard, being chased and then caught and tickled, pushing the buttons on the music machine in the car, pounding on the couch and bouncing back up and laughing, Skyping--he is constantly pointing at the computer to try and get me to turn it on to Skype. He is definitely a social guy!

--Loves taking a bath and playing with the rubber duckies in the tub.

--Loves playing with Olivia in her castle tent

--Enjoys helping me empty the dishwasher

--He does not like being strapped down which means he is not a fan of getting into the car, getting into the stroller as well as his high chair. However, once he is strapped in he is usually good to go.

--His favorite books are: The Wheels on the Bus, 8 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed and DOGS. 

--He weighs 20lbs 1oz and is 30.5 inches tall.

--He has taken up to 10 steps at a time from me to Nathan but is not a confident walker just yet. He was so proud of himself!
