At this age she is definitely in what some might call the "terrible twos" stage which means she loves to assert her independence, use the word "no" frequently and just tries to enjoy every waking minute of every day (i.e. why waste time with a nap and bedtime when it could be better spent playing with my weebles or reading books?). I can stay awake until 11pm just like Mommy and Daddy! However, these challenges are welcomed as I am glad to have such a strong-willed little lady.
As for other developmental gains, she is potty-trained during the day and still wears her cloth diapers at night (however, with the new baby arriving in less than 5 months we don't have that much time to wean her off of her nightly diaper routine!). She has experimented with some new foods this month including pine nuts. Lucky us that she picked the most expensive nut to crave! She is also enjoying the sweet and spicy pecans I made last week. Spicy food is not a deterrent for this one! However, overall she is still pretty picky and will most likely be vegetarian like her parents.
This weekend was the town's Halloween parade. It was fairly warm out so she was able to wear her cat costume. The temperature for the actual Halloween holiday is predicted to be in the high 50's so she will be wearing her tigger costume which is snuggly and warm!
